Terrestial Poetry +35 | From Taipei Fine Arts Museum to Madrid

The exhibition revisits and presents, for the first time in Spain, a selection of works from the landmark show “Terrestial Poetry”, originally held at the Taipei Fine Arts Museum in 1990. That exhibition marked a defining moment in Fustero’s career, consolidating her artistic language and projecting her work onto the international stage.

In Madrid, thirty-five years later, this new presentation offers a re-reading of that seminal body of work, inviting audiences to engage with Fustero’s visual poetics in dialogue with the present. The works on view stand out for their expressive intensity, their bold exploration of color, and their ability to evoke inner landscapes and universal emotions.

With this exhibition, VILLAZAN pays tribute to a key moment in the artist’s trajectory while reaffirming the gallery’s commitment to recovering and highlighting significant episodes from the recent history of contemporary art.

VILLAZAN se complace en anunciar la próxima exposición dedicada a la artista Elvira Fustero, que se inaugurará el próximo 11 de septiembre de 2025 en la galería de Madrid.

Terrestial Poetry +35 | From Taipei Fine Arts Museum to Madrid

La muestra recupera y presenta, por primera vez en España, una selección de obras pertenecientes a la histórica exposición “Terrestial Poetry”, celebrada en el Museo de Bellas Artes de Taipei en 1990. Aquella exposición supuso un hito en la carrera de Elvira Fustero, consolidando su lenguaje artístico y proyectando su obra en un contexto internacional de gran relevancia.

En Madrid, 35 años después, esta nueva presentación propone una relectura de aquel conjunto, ofreciendo al público la oportunidad de acercarse a la poética plástica de Fustero en un diálogo renovado con el presente. Las piezas que integran la exposición destacan por su fuerza expresiva, su exploración del color y su capacidad de evocar paisajes interiores y emociones universales.

Con esta iniciativa, VILLAZAN rinde homenaje a un momento clave en la trayectoria de la artista y reafirma su compromiso con la recuperación de episodios significativos de la historia reciente del arte contemporáneo.
