Edgar Plans (Madrid, 1977), categorized as the most popular Spanish contemporary artist, grew up and is now based with his family in the northern Spanish town of Gijón. After earning a degree in Art History from the University of Oviedo, Plans started to participate in small exhibitions in local galleries. As of today, his works have been exhibited in Museums such as the MOMA Museum in Moscow Russia and the Xiao Museum in Rizhao, China.

On this occasion, Edgar has presented a series of unique works that bring together all the themes he usually depicts. In the painting "Invasion of the Body Snatchers", he fuses film and painting, based on Philip Kaufman's 1978 eponymous horror film. This particular work has deep personal meaning for Edgar because of his emotional connection to his father, who introduced him to the film. The influence of his father, a fantasy writer, has instilled in Edgar a permanent immersion in creativity from an early age.

Nowadays, Edgar seamlessly integrates his pop culture influences - from sneakers to superheroes - and his literary inspirations with a critique to society, using the kawaii style. This aesthetic, characterized by its innocence and charm, serves as a vehicle to convey rich messages of responsibility and ethics.

Edgar has also presented his famous drawings focusing on the creation of characters, some of them anonymous and others being a tribute to famous fictional and real characters. These drawings made with graphite and accented with touches of acrylic color, encapsulate even more Edgar's distinctive artistic universe, making each exhibition a character in itself.
