As part of the Osaka Kansai 2025 World Expo, Espace Louis Vuitton Osaka presents Yayoi Kusama: Infinity – Selected Works from the Collection, tracing her artistic evolution from early milestones to recent works, highlighting her signature style since the 1960s
The exhibition is part of the Fondation Louis Vuitton’s Hors‑les‑murs program, which brings its collection to international spaces in Tokyo, Munich, Venice, Beijing, Seoul, and Osaka, making contemporary art accessible to audiences around the world.

THE EXHIBITION BRINGS TOGETHER ICONIC WORKS THAT REVEAL HOW KUSAMA HAS TRANSFORMED HER OBSESSIONS INTO AN ARTISTIC LANGUAGE. HER DOTS AND INFINITY NETS STAND OUT FOR THEIR HYPNOTIC POWER AND THE SENSE OF ENDLESS CONTINUITY THEY CREATE.
At the heart of the show is the iconic Infinity Mirror Room – Phalli’s Field (1965/2013), a space that immerses visitors in a universe of reflections and polka dots that seem to multiply endlessly.

Other recent works, such as Every Day I Pray for Love (2023), combine poetry and painting to enhance the sense of immersion and reflection, inviting the viewer to experience the artwork as a living environment rather than as an object to be merely observed.
“FORGET YOURSELF. BECOME ONE WITH ETERNITY. BE PART OF YOUR SURROUNDINGS.” – YAYOI KUSAMA

Thanks to the hors-les-murs program, visitors can access exhibitions of its collection for free in different cities, promoting cultural exchange and the dissemination of works by internationally renowned artists.
INFINITY is more than an exhibition; it is an experience that allows visitors to enter Kusama’s visual universe, where repetitive motifs, light, and reflections create a unique rhythm that surrounds the viewer. The exhibition invites one to lose themselves in the infinite, to reflect, and to experience the artwork as a space in which each visitor becomes part of the art itself.

In addition to showcasing some of Kusama’s most iconic works, Infinity – Selected Works from the Collection offers an intimate look at the artist’s spiritual and emotional evolution. Through the obsessive repetition of forms, the exhibition establishes a dialogue between the personal and the universal, between the desire to dissolve into infinity and the search for identity. Here, Kusama not only reaffirms her fascination with the cosmos and perception but also invites viewers to experience the boundary between art and life, transforming the exhibition space into a site of introspection and connection with the infinite.
